Arkansas campgrounds

Going camping in Arkansas? Thirty-two of Arkansas state parks feature campsites. Sites are located in scenic settings showcasing the natural beauty and geological diversity of Arkansas —The Natural State. You’ll find great campsites on top of a mountain, the shore of a lake and many other terrific spots to spend the night and experience the best of the outdoors.

These Arkansas campgrounds range from primitive, hike-in tent sites to the high-end type with easy accessibility and modern conveniences such as water, electric and sewer hookups for RV campers. Most Arkansas campgrounds include modern restrooms with hot showers and flush toilets. Many parks have designated group camping areas — contact park staff for more information or to make a reservation. Our campgrounds are dog-friendly as long as they are leashed. If you are staying in a YURT, Rent-an-RV, or camper cabins, check with the park directly before making your reservation, as dogs are not permitted in some of our unique lodging options. Every campsite resident is advised to keep food away from wild animals, as feeding them causes environmental problems and the animals become a nuisance for future campers. Campers should only collect firewood from the immediate vicinity or purchase affordable bundles at the park if available to avoid the spread of timber-destroying insects.
