Due to severely dry conditions, several county judges have issued burn bans. When fire conditions are high, no open flames are allowed in Arkansas state parks under a burn ban. This means no fires in the fire ring or for cooking. Charcoal only is allowed in an upright or the provided pedestal grill. To see the latest counties under a burn ban, check out the burn ban map. This changes frequently during the summer. Park superintendents also have the discretion to issue burn bans. Please call the park you are visiting directly with any burn ban questions.
