The park's Lake Bailey and Lake Roosevelt are home to many fish species. Boat rentals here in Arkansas’s Petit Jean State Park are available during the summer months, or bring your own motorboat (10 horsepower motor limit), canoe or kayak. Arkansas anglers enjoy fishing from the shore or from the barrier-free fishing pier that provides easy access to 100-acre Lake Bailey.
Boat Rentals
2022 Update: Due to a lifeguard shortage, the public pool and boathouse are open Saturdays and Sundays 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. until Labor Day (open Monday, Labor Day also).
The boathouse and its boat rentals are open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, closed Mondays and Tuesdays. (The boathouse may be closed on weekdays during the final three weeks of August depending on the availability of lifeguards). Here, you can rent pedal boats, water bikes, or flat-bottom boats with and without a motor (price of motorized boat includes gas). The boathouse has a snack bar and game room.
