Annual Lee Creek Cleanup

Join fellow volunteers for a yearly tradition as we come together to restore the beauty of the creek that winds through our park. For check-in and supplies, head to the Cleanup Headquarters at the Horse Day Use Area off Hwy 220. You're welcome to ask cleanup staff for suggestions on where to go

Bird Island Tour

Lake Ouachita State Park provides remarkable habitat for migrating birds. Join us aboard our tour boat as we venture out to Bird Island. Here we are treated to a Lake Ouachita State Park sunset as we watch the purple martins, egrets, herons and red winged black birds settle in to roost for the night

Magnification Station

The natural world is filled with little details that we often overlook. Come by the park interpreter’s magnification station at the visitor center to use microscopes to get an up-close look at some different nature items. All ages welcome!

Summer Stargazing

Join
a park interpreter for this relaxing look up at the night sky. Try and spot
some constellations, shooting stars, satellites, and more. Bring a flashlight,
a chair if you'd like, and dress appropriately.
