Using Essential Oils Safely & Effectively
If you have been using herbs and want to create formulas on your own—not necessarily follow recipes—this class is for you. Over the years Instructor Susan Belsinger has used a plethora of essential oils (EOs) and often uses the same familiar yet reliable ones over and over. Creative is the key word here. The class will be an olfactory experience as she shows you how to make your own formulations. Each student will get to make and take their own herbal oil, spritzer, and sugar scrub.
Susan has gathered quite a collection of some unusual and rare formulas, as well as some blends, to be shared with you (i.e.: fresh ginger, turmeric, ravensara, blue tansy, rosewood, Bhutan cypress, yarrow, holy basil, helichrysum and more). She will discuss fragrance and virtues of these EOs.
Class fee includes materials and use of tools during class. Bring an apron, to-go mug or drinking jar and a sturdy basket or box to carry your goodies home. We will provide handouts; however, you might bring a notebook.
Class minimum is 3 and maximum is 10. Registration is required two weeks prior to the beginning of class. Go to https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/ozarkfolkcenter/using-essential-oils-safely-effectively to register or for more information.
