Girl Scouts Love State Parks 2025: Turning Trash into Treasure

Grab your scraps! Getting rid of litter is a great way to Leave No Trace at Village Creek State Park. Join a park interpreter to learn how you can transform your paper scraps into a wearable jewelry keepsake. Scouts are invited to bring unused magazines, newspapers, craft scraps, or other unused paper as part of this activity. #GSLoveStateParks

This program will help you fulfill partial requirements for the following badges: Daisy Eco Learner, Daisy Outdoor Art Maker, Brownie Outdoor Art Creator, Brownie Eco Friend, Junior Outdoor Art Explorer, Cadette Outdoor Art Apprentice, Senior Eco Explorer, Senior Outdoor Art Expert, Ambassador Eco Advocate, and Ambassador Outdoor Art Master.

Preregistration is required for this event. To reserve your spot, contact the visitor center at (870) 238-9406. Registration ends Tuesday, September 9th at 5 p.m. Admission is free.
