Girl Scouts Love State Parks 2025: The Power of a Name – Guided Hike

Names hold power! Join a park interpreter as we hike the Big Ben Trail to learn about the history of Village Creek State Park, the power behind the name “Ben,” and the power your name can have here too. The Big Ben Trail is a moderately strenuous 0.5-mile trail. Please wear appropriate hiking/walking shoes, bring water, and wear insect repellant. #GSLoveStateParks

This program will help you fulfill partial requirements for the following badges: Daisy Trail Adventure, Daisy Eco Learner, Brownie Outdoor Adventurer, Brownie Eco Friend, Brownie Hiker, Cadette Eco Trekker, and Cadette Trees.

Preregistration is required for this event. To reserve your spot, contact the visitor center at (870) 238-9406. Registration ends Tuesday, September 9th at 5 p.m. Admission is free.
