Gardening in the Ozarks

Folks who garden in the Ozarks have unique challenges. In this class you will learn about the soils, climate, native plants, invasive species, growing vegetables, and attractive native plants for shade and sun. You will learn how to play and observe. You will receive suggestions for keeping yourself comfortable while engaged in outdoor labor and sharing space with living organisms that make you itch. Registration required. Class fee includes notes, handouts, labs, and a complete focus on your Ozark garden. This class is for students ages 18 and up. Paricipatns will need to bring a lunch. Minimum class size is one, maximum is three. Call the park at 870-269-3854 for more information. Full refunds will be given upon request up to one month before the start of class. Students requesting a refund between a month and two weeks before the beginning of class will receive a 50% refund. No refunds within two weeks of class date.
