Delivering the Mail on Delta Heritage Trail Hike

Delta Heritage Trail once was the path of trains that delivered mail to communities along its course. Here is your chance to discover how mail was delivered in the past and even get a chance to work your own mail route on the trail. This is an ideal program for families wanting to get outdoors and transported to the era when the trail was an active rail line. Please wear footwear you are comfortable hiking in and dress to be outdoors as we will be on the trail for about 45 minutes. The trail is a easy gravel surface hike and we will cover 0.5-miles. Please bring sunscreen, insect repellent, and drinking water. Meet at the visitor center.
