Annual Lake Charles Fishing Derby

Fishing is fun for all ages and this weekend it is time to catch the big one! Enjoy Lake Charles State Park and participate in our annual fishing derby sponsored by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Although all family members are encouraged to attend and to fish, the derby participants will be kids aged 17 and under only. Bring your own bait, tackle, and equipment. Live worms and tackle will be available for purchase at the visitor center as well as a limited number of loaner fishing poles. Registration is required from 8:30-9 a.m. at the pavilion in the day-use area. Regulations for Arkansas waters apply, including daily limits, slot limits and length limits must be observed.
