It is hiking season in Arkansas and that brings some unique and beautiful opportunities. The leaves are changing, along with the temperatures. These cooler days can make for some great fall hiking.

Pinnacle Mountain stands about 1,000 feet above sea level, is on the extreme eastern edge of the Ouachita Mountain range, and sits where three rivers converge.

The spring birds are back and filling up the air with their songs. The winter bleakness is behind us. The warm air hits my face as I hike on one of our trails here at Lake Catherine State Park.
