Snakes of Arkansas

<p>Calling all snake sleuths! Arkansas is home to a diverse&nbsp;population of snake species. Join a park interpreter in the Ouachita Room to&nbsp;discover the importance of snakes, hone your identification skills, and create&nbsp;your very own snake craft to take home!</p>

Discovery Hike (Dogwood Trail)

The
Ouachita National Forest provides a protective zone for wildlife around the
lake. Meet a park interpreter at the Dogwood trailhead to take a guided 1/2-mile
hike and discover the different flora, fauna and other organisms of Lake Ouachita State Park.<br>

Snorkeling

Join a park interpreter to explore Lake Ouachita in a new way. We will boat out to an island or shoreline in the lake and snorkel around the island shore to see what lies beneath the water's surface. A minimum of six participants must be registered one hour before departure.<br />
