<p>Are you curious about paddle boarding? Try your hand at this paddling sport. We have several boards available for you to try. The park interpreter will be on hand to answer questions and give you pointers. This is a great way to find out if a paddle board would be right for you without buying it</p>

Have you ever wanted to cook in a cast iron Dutch oven? Here’s your chance. This evening you can help a park interpreter prepare and cook a couple of tasty treats for you to try. We will cover the basics of temperature control as well as how to care for cast iron cookware.
Nature journaling is a great way to remember what you have seen, increase observational skills, relax, or just be creative. Bring your camp chair and join the park interpreter under the shade of our trees to make and use a nature journal.<br><br>
Join the park interpreter as we explore the changes butterflies go through from egg to adult. We will cover host plants that can be found throughout the park and what you can plant in your yard to help caterpillars grow on their path to being butterflies as well as native plants that adults use.
<p>How familiar are you with the fish that live in the lakes and rivers of Mississippi River State Park? Stop by to test your skills at identifying some of the fish that are found in these bodies of water. You may even discover interesting facts about them you did not already know.<br><br></p>
