Women in the Woods: Backpacking the Cane Creek Lake Trail

You can grow your roots in Arkansas State Parks. Join Park Interpreters Cathy and Victoria as Lake Frierson State Park’s Women in the Woods series hits the trail for the first ever backpacking trip at Cane Creek State Park! We will be hiking 6.5 miles in and out (total of 13 miles over 2 days) along the moderately strenuous Cane Creek Lake Trail to camp for the night at shelter areas, and then venture back the next day. This event is free, but registration is required, and ladies will be expected to bring their own gear and food for the full backpacking experience.
