Step into the past of Jackson County and discover the economic power of King Cotton. This white gold was the economic backbone of the south during the 19th century and allowed the people of Jackson County to thrive through various products that would influence and be influenced by this cash crop. Join a park interpreter at the picnic tables nearest the campground restrooms to discover some of the tools and items that were used during this era to worth the cotton.
