Turkey Tabletop: Let’s Talk Turkey!

Meeting Place: Visitor Center
1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
admission: Free

11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The Eastern wild turkey is one of the largest birds in North America with fossil records dating back over 5 million years. Did you know that a turkey can fly fast enough to break the posted speed limit on Highway 12? Can you judge a turkey’s mood by the size of its snood? Turkey tracks are cool, but a turkey’s scat can tell you if it’s a Jake or a Jenny. Join us to find out more of what makes this a truly amazing bird and why it makes our park its home. Make a turkey craft to take home! Come and go as you please. A 15-minute program will begin every half-hour from 11:30 a.m.– 1:30 p.m.
