Turkey Tabletop: Let’s Talk Turkey!

Meeting Place: Visitor Center
1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

The Eastern wild turkey is one of the largest birds in North America with fossil records dating back 5 million years. Did you know that a turkey can fly fast enough to break the posted speed-limit on Highway 12? Can you judge a turkey’s mood by the size of its snood? Turkey tracks are cool, but a turkey’s scat can tell you if it’s a Jake or a Jenny. Join us to discover what makes this a truly amazing bird and why it makes our park its home. A 15-minute program begins every half-hour. Come and go as you please.
