Territorial Arkansas Living History School Day
Meeting Place: Davidsonville Historic State Park
Admission: Free
Trade the school books for hands-on-history at
Davidsonville Historic State Park as we celebrate 200 years since the construction of the oldest courthouse in Arkansas. Teachers, bring your class and come explore town as it would have
been during a hey-day market week and explore the pattern of peoples and trades
that made Arkansas what it is today. Try your hand at tomahawk
throwing, carpentry, quill writing, historic games, and more. A variety of townsfolk will be present
to talk about experiences, ranging from the doctor and his medical ideas, to
the unsung background work of women. Contact the park interpreter at (870) 892-4708 to register your class today. Space is limited
and will likely fill up early.
