National Kids to Parks Day

Meeting Place: Artisan Craft Village

The Ozark Folk Center State Park celebrates National Kids to Parks Day by offering hands-on activities and crafts for young people. Choices include: weaving on the rigid heddle loom (Fiber Arts Shop), explore tangrams (Stained Glass Shop), play "graces", shoot a rubber band gun (Wood Toy Shop), help on the homestead (Shannon Cabin), donkey-powered rides (picnic swing), and sculpt clay creations to leave in the gallery (Pottery Shop).

For an additional cost: string your own necklace (Jewelry Shop, $4), make a lavender sachet (Apothecary Shop, $2), color-dip a candle (Chandlery, $3), tie a cornhusk doll bookmark (Doll Shop, $3), make your own rag doll (Quilt Shop, $6), print your own bookmark (Print Shop, $2).

Enjoy local musicians as they perform live at the Blacksmith Stage in the Artisan Craft Village at 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 2:45 p.m., and 3:45 p.m.
