Moonlit Mountain: Owl Pellet Dissection

Meeting Place: Lodge Conference Room
5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Admission: Free
Many meat-eating birds, like owls, have an interesting way of dealing with unwanted parts of their food. Join a park interpreter in the Hearth Room for a closer look at owl pellets, nature’s version of a mystery puzzle. We’ll dissect real pellets to uncover what owls are eating. Note: This program is part of the Moonlit Mountain series, exploring life after sunset on Rich Mountain. While not required, daytime programs build knowledge that will enhance your experience at the nighttime program, so consider joining us throughout the day.
