Humans use light for communicating in a number of ways; from green and red traffic lights to flashing car turn signals, from the light of an emergency signal fire to the casual backlight of your everyday smartphone. While speech is our most effective form of communication, fireflies depend entirely on bioluminescence for theirs. Meet a park interpreter to learn some lightning bug lingo and join the discussion!
