Dive into the serene and exciting world of kayak fishing with our Kayak Fishing 101 series at Lake Catherine State Park! This beginner-friendly program is perfect for anglers and adventurers eager to combine the joys of paddling and fishing in one immersive experience. Each session focuses on a different aspect of kayak fishing, ensuring you build skills, gain confidence, and experience the unique beauty of Lake Catherine from the water. Take your kayak fishing skills to the next level! Learn about advanced casting techniques that are perfect for utilizing while sitting in your kayak. This session is ideal for those ready to refine their methods and maximize their catch. This program requires you to register by noon on the day of the program. Participants must be 12+ years old. Kayaks, paddles, lifejackets, and basic fishing equipment are provided. You can call the visitor center at 501-844-4176 between 8 am and 5 pm to register. This program will be from 5 pm - 6 pm and begins at the marina.
