Kayak Campout

Lake Ouachita State Park will host an overnight Kayak Campout beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, and returning around noon on Sunday, April 26. This guided excursion features paddling across the clear waters of Lake Ouachita to a remote shoreline campsite, catered meals, and interpretive programming. Participants will explore the shoreline, enjoy an evening by the fire, and experience the park after dark before paddling back the following morning.

The fee for this program is $125 per person and includes meals and snacks. To reserve a space, guests will provide a credit card to secure a $50 non-refundable deposit, which will be charged closer to the event to assist with meal planning and equipment preparation. A minimum of 10 registrants must confirm for the program to proceed. Space is limited, and paddling experience is required. Participants may bring their own kayak and equipment or rent from the park for an additional fee.

Children ages 6 and older are welcome. Children under 12 must ride with an adult in a tandem kayak. Life jackets are required during all paddling portions of the program.
