You better watch out! You better not cry! You better not pout! I'm telling you why - The Holiday Light Extravaganza is coming to town! The Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources Oil Field Park comes to life with a variety of sparkling vignettes to delight the young and young at heart. Each lighted scene represents the sights of the winter holiday season. Enjoy over 300,000 lights as they twinkle and delight the youngster in all of us. After viewing the lights come into the museum to warm up with hot chocolate and do that last minute shopping in our gift shop. Come out and make memories with your family at this Arkansas State Park.

Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources tells the story of the 1920s oil boom in south Arkansas. Walk through the museum's oil field park to enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season! The quarter-mile trail includes oil field equipment used in the area during the boom and for this event features lighted scenes and songs that we all know and love. To ensure a healthy holiday experience, we ask all guests to follow social distancing and the mask mandate. Masks must be worn when social distancing of 6 feet is not possible. Masks are required and must be worn properly to enter the museum.  

The Holiday Lights Extravaganza runs every Friday and Saturday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. starting November 20 and ending on December 19. The price is $10 per vehicle with up to seven people and $2 for each additional person.
