Great Backyard Bird Count: Lake Tour

Join a park interpreter for a relaxing birding tour on the calm waters of Lake Chicot as we participate in the annual Great Backyard Bird Count. We’ll cruise along the shoreline to spot winter waterfowl, wading birds, and resident species while contributing to a global citizen-science project. Whether you’re new to birding or a seasoned observer, this guided lake tour offers an easy, scenic way to enjoy wildlife and help support real conservation data. Bring binoculars if you have them; extras are available. Register and pay by calling or visiting the visitor center by 5 p.m. on the day of the tour. Weather appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and water recommended. This program will be canceled in the event of bad weather.
