Meeting Place: Administration Building
9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Admission: Scouts: $5.00
Admission: Adults: $9.00
Fulfill your Outdoor Art badges by working with Ozark Folk Center State Park artisans to explore the color, form, sounds and beauty found in nature. This program starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday with an orientation, then scouts will rotate through different workshops to create art inspired by the natural resources of the Ozarks. Work on projects to earn your Daisy Outdoor Art Maker; Brownie Outdoor Art Creator; Junior Art Explorer; Cadette Outdoor Art Apprentice.

Crafts will be hands-on in small group workshops. Depending on the size of the group, crafts offered will be weaving, natural dyeing, leatherwork, papermaking, candlemaking, jewelry and more. We will wrap up the day by performing a concert on simple rhythm instruments the scouts will make themselves from items found in nature and around the home.

Today Girl Scouts of the USA are partnering with America's State Parks on the first-ever National Girl Scouts Love State Parks event, for girls, families and friends to experience the great outdoors, the heritage, and the culture of our region, all an integral part of the organization's all-girl leadership program. Join thousands of girls in hundreds of state parks across the United States to find adventure and learn what Girl Scouts is all about.

Registration required by July 3 by signing up with the Girl Scouts Diamonds council online at www.GirlScoutsDiamonds.org.
