Girl Scouts Love State Parks 2025: Trash Boom Cleanout Service Project

Join a park interpreter as we learn how to be good stewards of our waterways while we clean out a trash boom installed in the Little Maumelle River Water Trail. This boom was installed to capture litter as it floats downstream before it enters the main Arkansas River channel. By removing litter from our waterways we are not only protecting our water from contamination, but we are protecting all the life that depend on it as well. This service project is intended for older scouts for it will be labor intensive. Please bring plenty of water/snacks, wear clothes that can get wet/dirty.
