Friends of Hobbs Speaker Series: Lies Tombstones Told Me

To say that something is “carved in stone” implies that it is trustworthy when, in fact, tombstones contain a lot of mistakes, some of them deliberate. Speaker Abby Burnett will share examples of such “lies” as uncorrected mistakes, character rehabilitation, character embellishment, humor and outright whoppers. There will be a discussion on how to correctly interpret certain tombstone symbols to avoid being misled.
