Earth Science Week: Prospectors Trail Guided Hike

Join a park interpreter at the Prospector trailhead, on the northwest side of the diamond search area, and experience Crater of Diamonds State Park like miners and geologists of the past! This hike will take you to exciting geologic structures to learn more about the history and geology of the area. Paid admission to the diamond search area is required to access this trail. Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring drinking water, and insect repellent. Plan to walk about 1.2 miles over gently sloping terrain, with periodic stops along the way.
