Camp Ouachita Historic Tour

Join a park interpreter to learn about the rich history of Lake Sylvia and Camp Ouachita. Glimpse into the past by touring the old Girl Scouts cabins. Look into the future while exploring our newly renovated buildings. Learn about the importance of preserving this historic site. This tour includes a stroll around the Camp Ouachita Historic Site and a short walk to the old Lake Sylvia Swim Crib. Expect the walk to be a little less than one mile. The walk may have some uneven ground but is otherwise moderate. The walk to the swim crib includes stairs. This walk will be taken at a slow pace. Make sure to bring water and wear good walking shoes.
