Archeological Excavation: Artifacts Tell a Story
Meeting Place: Visitor Center
11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Plum Bayou Mounds Archeological State Park will host an archeological excavation during the first two weeks of June, and you’re invited! During this program, we will have a few artifacts found during the actual excavation happening on site this week for you to see. We’ll explore how the Native Americans that lived here were not so different from us-- we both need food, water, and shelter to survive. Join a park interpreter to learn about the different kinds of artifacts these people fashioned to survive and thrive here. See other calendar entries for guided and self-guided program opportunities related to the archeological excavation.
