Alligator Prowl Lake Tour

Lake Chicot State Park is excited to introduce a new nighttime lake tour, offering visitors a unique way to experience the lake after dark. Venture onto the water as park staff guide you through cypress-lined shores and quiet backwaters while searching for alligators and other nocturnal wildlife. Learn how alligators hunt, navigate, and thrive in the darkness, and discover why Lake Chicot provides ideal habitat for these iconic Delta predators, all from the safety of a guided observation tour. All equipment is provided; participants are welcome to bring a spotlight if they have one, along with bug spray, water, and a sense of adventure. Advance registration and payment are required by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the tour. This tour is weather dependent and may be cancelled if conditions require.
