13th Annual Red River Heritage Symposium Teachers Workshop

This workshop is for teachers and anyone interested in learning about aspects of the Red River region and Arkansas history. This year the symposium will focus on the 200th anniversary of the formation of Arkansas Territory, and the region around the Red River from 1803-1836. The theme will be “Arkansas Territory: A New Frontier”. Sessions will cover resources for the classroom on the impact of Arkansas becoming a territory. Teachers will attend and experience programs that are designed for school groups. Attendees will be able to receive continuing education hours certified by the Arkansas Department of Education. Lunch will be provided for both days. Registration must be made by July 24. A discount rate is available for attendees wanting to attend both the workshop and symposium.
