What are Arkansas State Parks doing to control COVID-19?

Maintaining safe and sanitary facilities within Arkansas State Parks has always been a top priority, but with the outbreak of COVID-19 in Arkansas, thorough cleaning is paramount. ASP staff are directed to follow CDC-approved cleaning procedures. Our protocol includes the following:

  • Increased frequency for cleaning and disinfection of facilities including daily sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and other high traffic areas.
  • Access to handwashing facilities and hand sanitizers for employees and the public.
  • Engage in rigorous cleaning of public overnight facilities in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Visitors with questions should contact the park directly or [email protected].

Media inquiries should go to Melissa Whitfield, Communications Director for Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism. She can be reached at [email protected]
