Fall leaves lying on the CCC boardwalk at Crowley's Ridge State Park in the rain

Crowley's Ridge State Park in northeast Arkansas exists in part to safeguard historical and cultural resources, such as the structures built by the hard work of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s. In addition, the park offers a protected habitat to animals like northern mole crickets whose sounds you can hear in this video.

Listening to the relaxing rain sounds against the CCC boardwalk provides a peaceful connection to the history of Crowley's Ridge State Park.

Do you think the CCC workers heard the same sounds when building this boardwalk almost 100 years ago?
