Woolly Hollow State Park

To contact the park:  501-679-2098

Nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, this park includes 40-acre Lake Bennett, peaceful waters for fishing and floating, and swimming at the park's swim beach. Anglers will need to bring bait and fishing supplies. A launch ramp is located on Lake Bennett. The park offers also offers canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, and fishing boats for rent. A snack bar and bathhouse with hot showers are located near the swimming beach. Park facilities also include 30 Class AAA campsites and 10 Tent Sites without hookups. Woolly Hollow also offers a picnic area, standard pavilion, gift shop, and hiking trail. The Woolly Cabin, the log home of the area's first settlers, offers visitors a historic perspective of the park.

In May 2014, a new nine-and-one-half-mile hiking and mountain bike trail will open in the park. It will be a good representation of the terrain found here in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. In winter, the trail will offer views from ridges of Lake Bennett below.

Take Exit #125 off I-40 at Conway and travel 12 miles north on U.S. 65, then go six miles east on Ark. 285 to the park.
