Just a short walk from the park visitor center, this easy loop trail is great for hikers of all levels. Park at the visitor center and walk along the entrance road (Ark. 171) as if heading out of the park [be cautious of cars]. Look on the right for a brown post. Walk down a small hill and start on the trail to your right. Slunger Creek flows alongside most of this concrete, barrier-free trail. Benches on the trail offer a place to relax and enjoy the sounds of the water flowing over rocks in this Ouachita Mountain creek. Many wildflowers bloom in the spring making this area a photographer’s dream.
