All tickets are reserved seating at the following price levels: $35.00 for premium and $25.00 for general reserved.

Marty Stuart has a long history of performing at the Ozark Folk Center State Park, dating back to the early 1980s when he would take a break from touring and come unwind in Mountain View, Ark., with his friends and family. Countless hits and gold records later, Marty currently hosts his own namesake television show on RFD-TV and is touring in support of his new release Way Out West.

Stuart also has other significant Arkansas connections. He played with Johnny Cash’s band and was a close friend of the Arkansas native until his death. Stuart says he first saw Cash in concert when he was a child and that event inspired him to pursue a career in music. He recalls the first time he played with Cash on stage. ““He walked out and said hello I’m Johnny Cash and we went into the Folsom Prison Blues,” said Stuart. “I became that 12-year-old kid again and I didn’t anybody to see me cry, but I did.  I thought the American dream is peaking right now. Johnny Cash became my “Old Chief” and he stayed my Chief and he’s still my Chief. “

Stuart is also linked to another well-known Arkansan – Billy Bob Thornton. Stuart scored the music for two of Thornton’s movies. “I’m very proud of the music I did for All the Pretty Horses,” said Stuart.

“Quite simply, Marty is one of the most versatile and gifted performers we’ve hosted at the Ozark Folk Center State Park” said Music Director Daren Dortin. “His repertoire of tunes, stage presence and musicians are really amazing. Not to mention the history and memories Marty has here…it’s always a special event when he’s in town.”
