LITTLE ROCK-Samuel Adams has been selected as the park superintendent for Delta Heritage Trail State Park according to State Parks Director Greg Butts. As superintendent, Samuel Adams will be responsible for all operations at the park. Superintendent Adams assumed his responsibilities June 24, 2013.

Prior to his career with Arkansas Game and Fish, Samuel was Communications Journeyman for the US Air Force for four years.”

Butts noted that “Superintendent Adams’ education, volunteer work in community organizations, training and wildlife officer experience and skills will serve him well in his new responsibilities of overseeing all operations at Delta Heritage Trail State Park. Samuel is a Certified Law Enforcement Officer and Certified Boating and Hunting Safety Instructor.”
Adams said “I am very thankful for the opportunity to serve the public, promote tourism and encourage economic growth throughout the Delta region. I believe in the important role that Arkansas State Parks plays in communities all throughout Arkansas. The Delta Heritage Trail is a beautiful example of the Arkansas landscape and I encourage everyone to experience all that it has to offer.”
