This Valentine’s Weekend, we’re hosting a fun, hands-on workshop for crafty couples and friends! Wire crafting is the practice of making decorative figures with wire and other components. On Saturday, February 16, from 2 to 4 p.m., participants will learn about the art of wire sculpture and make a 6” tree out of copper or brass wire, beads, and a stone base from the park. Attendees may also bring their own beads or other findings to decorate their creations.
Each pair may choose to make one tree together or two individual trees. Cost is $30 per tree, including a non-refundable $15 registration fee due by Friday, February 1 (pay the remaining $15 at the visitor center on February 16). Supplies are limited, and a minimum of three pairs is required. For more information or to register, call Crater of Diamonds State Park at (870) 285-3113 by February 1.
