Waterfall Hike

Water carves out many fascinating features along the trails at Lake Fort Smith State Park as it finds the quickest routes down the mountainsides. Join a park interpreter at the visitor center for a hike along part of the Ozark Highlands Trail to see if our wet weather waterfall is running, and to see the effects of water on the landscape over time. This hike covers a distance 1 ½-mile and takes about 1 ½ hour to complete. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring along some water.
