The ability to generate light where and whenever needed is one of the outstanding achievements of a developed society. To comprehensively explore lighting, one must begin with the study of candles. The creation of candles emerged from the necessity of a portable, compact light source that didn't rely on additional fuel, boasted a prolonged burn time, emitted minimal soot, and was easily ignitable. Throughout this session, participants will learn about the diversity of materials used in crafting candles, grasp the overlooked genius of the wick, and understand the intricacies of creating your own molded candle.
