Meeting Place: Pavilion #1
In Arkansas, Hunter’s Education is required for anyone born after December 31, 1968. Children under 16 are not required to have a Hunter’s Education card, provided they are hunting with someone over 21 who has a valid Hunter’s Education. There is no set age requirement for Hunter’s Education, but all of the materials are around a sixth-grade reading level.
The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Hunter’s Education course provides a good introduction to hunting and firearm safety. Topics covered include firearm safety, hunting ethics, safety and survival, and more. All students should bring a pen or pencil and paper, as well as any snacks or drinks. All three nights must be attended. After passing the test, students will receive a Hunter’s Education card.
