Meeting Place: Visitor Center
One Thursday each month, Mississippi River State Park offers programs designed for homeschoolers in 3rd grade or higher. Today we will be looking at the geology of Crowley’s Ridge. After discussing how the ridge was formed and creating a model of the ridge to take home, we will take a short hike to explore just how the geology of the ridge affects plant life. Please wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes and insect repellent. Pre-register by calling the visitor center at (870) 295-4040, to ensure we have plenty of supplies for all participants.
