Geocaching 101 Lake Ouachita State Park

Admission: Free

Meeting Place: Visitor Center

What is geocaching? It is a fun, family-friendly activity using GPS units. You’ll start at the visitor center audio-visual room where a park interpreter shows you the basics of geocaching using the park’s GPS units or any units that you have brought. Then you’ll embark on a journey in search of a hidden “cache” with only the coordinates of its location to guide you. Don’t forget to wear sturdy shoes and bring drinking water for the short hike.
