Frog Watch Training Mississippi River State Park

Admission: Free

Meeting Place: Multi-Purpose Room

One of the best ways to experience nature is to be outside in the evening and hear the frogs calling. Frog Watch USA is an organization of volunteer citizen scientists that record frog calls heard from February to August each year. This information is important because it gives natural resource managers knowledge of what frogs are out there and if their numbers are declining. This workshop provides training on identifying frog calls and how to record this information. It is an excellent opportunity to learn about frogs found in this area. Register by stopping by or calling the visitor center at (870) 295-4040.
