Conservation Hike

Mount Magazine is a testament to successful conservation and rehabilitation of a natural environment. The Benefield picnic area was once the site of the Benefield homestead, a forest service campground, now finally a picnic area. Mount Magazine State Park and other agencies have worked to return this area to its natural state. Join a park interpreter for a guided hike at the Benefield picnic area for a 60-minute guided walk.
