Venture to the Ozark Mountains this summer for a very
healthy helping of fried chicken & bluegrass at the Ozark Folk Center State
Park in scenic Mountain View, Arkansas. The event features local, regional, and
nationally-acclaimed bluegrass bands on Friday night and Saturday at the
historic Ozark Highlands Theater and fried chicken at the award-winning Skillet
Restaurant, also located at the state park.

During music breaks, immerse yourself in the handcrafted arts, gardens, and the Great Outdoors at the Ozark Folk Center on Friday and Saturday. Admission includes access to all 20 artisan shops, the Heritage Herb Garden, Homespun Gift Shop, picnic swing rides, live authentic mountain music, village programs, and craft demonstrations by village artisans, including copper flame painting, blacksmithing, wood working, stained glass, broom making, pottery, wire-wrapped jewelry, candle making, and much more.

The festival lineup includes two sets from the hard-driving traditional bluegrass of IBMA Award winners/GRAMMY nominated Po' Ramblin' Boys and the newly-formed veteran supergroup Fast Track.
Also appearing on Friday and Saturday are The Redmond Keisler Band, Ozark Legacy, and the 2021 "Youth in Bluegrass" Champions Sylamore Special ft. Mary Parker. Veteran musicians from Mountain View will also make an appearance on Saturday, including multi-instrumentalist Pam Setser, and mandolin virtuosos Brad Apple and Sam Cobb. Online ticket prices are $25 for Friday night and $35 for Saturday. Tickets will cost an additional five dollars when purchased at the park during the weekend of the festival. NOTE: Due to Arkansas Dept. of Health Guidelines, seating is very limited and may not be available on the day of the event. Also, fried chicken buffets served during the festival are not included with a concert ticket.
So where’s the fried chicken? The Skillet Restaurant at the Ozark Folk Center State Park will be serving its famous fried chicken throughout the festival on August 6-7. The hilltop restaurant, which is known for its Southern hospitality and down-home cooking, will be serving a fried chicken dinner buffet from 4-7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, as well as a breakfast buffet featuring chicken and waffles on Saturday from 8-11 a.m.
