Archeology Hike Lake Fort Smith State Park

Admission: Free

Meeting Place: Visitor Center

Meet a park interpreter at the visitor center for a 4-mile hike back in time. On our trek along the Shepherd Springs Loop and the Ozark Highlands Trail, we will see evidence of the first white settlers to inhabit this area. This is a moderate-to-strenuous trail that requires climbing steep inclines. Bring water, a snack, and wear appropriate clothing and footwear.
