Berries & Bears
Berries of all kinds are ripening on Mount Magazine. We have a good crop of blue berries, black berries, and fringe tree berries ripening now. Therefore, bear sightings are increasing. A few lucky visitors have seen them crossing roads in the park. Recently, a sow with three cubs was reported. A trail camera has captured video of at least eight different bears at one location so far this year. Some of these videos are added to a power point program presented on most weekends. Check our online calendar of events for the next presentation of "Bears."
